For Patients – About Your Visit .

We provide consultations with Obstetrician & Gynaecologist in Griffith .

On your first visit please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time and bring the GP’s referral with you. We look forward to meeting you!

Also have the following items with you:

• Medicare Card
• Insurance card(s)
• List of medications you take on a regular basis, including over-the-counter
• medications and vitamins.
• List of surgeries or medical procedures you have had
• Payment for your co-pay or any non-covered services. For your convenience,
  we take cash, check, VISA, MasterCard, and Discover.

Financial Policy: Consultation :

• New visits are charged at $175, If a procedure is performed $225( $70 medicare rebatable)
• Concession rate for Health /Pension card holders (new visit $110, Review $60)
• Ultrasounds performed at St Vincents Griffith $240 (rebate varies from $28-$68)

Review visits charged at $120($ 35 medicare rebatable)

Bulk billing  for  Post op reviews & Indigenous patients with Pension/Health care card holders.

Please request the Doctor  to bulk bill you if you honestly feel you cant afford to pay.

Financial Policy: Surgery & Maternity services

Patients with Private health care will be cared by their private specialist during the surgery or maternity and  are fully covered with their insurances without any out of pocket expenses at Griffith Base Hospital.

There may be small  out of pocket charge incur for surgeries at St Vincents Hospital.Waiting time for surgery at St Vincent hospital may be shorter ,However complex surgeries will be only performed at Griffith Base Hospital.

When Public patients are admitted for inpatient treatment they are bulk billed but may not   be able to see their preferred Gynaecologist or Obstetrician if he/She  is not on call  and will be  treated by  on call Consultant.
